HWY 19 Band to perform in Grapeland July 20

GRAPELAND — The East Texas musical group HWY 19 Band will present a free concert for the community this month as part of their “Music at the Little White Church” concert series at the historic facility.

The First Christian Memorial Board of Directors is partnering with the HWY 19 Band for the concert, set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20. The show will take place at the First Christian Memorial Building on U.S. 287 Business in downtown Grapeland.

The HWY 19 Band consists of: Andi Jo Huff, fiddle and vocals; Tammy Hassell-Anderson lead vocal and guitar; Stuart Anderson, banjo and vocals; and Daron Stone, upright bass, piano and vocals. The group has been performing together since about 2008 and returns to the “Little White Church” for the first time this year.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

After the program, refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall with the main building remaining open for visiting. Parking attendants will make available an area directly in front of the church for those that need to have access to the porch ramp.
