PALESTINE — Looking for crafts, candles, kitchenware and more?
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3907 will host a handful of vendors and a chili benefit at its Christmas bazaar from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the VFW building, located at 3800 W. Oak St. in Westwood.
Vendors include Tupperware, Avon, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Scentsy Candles, Gourmet Cupboard, Pampered Chef, Paparazzi Accessories, Origami Owl Jewelry, and more, along with sellers of miscellaneous homemade crafts.
Brenda Foltz, treasurer of the VFW 3907 Ladies Auxiliary, said they still have openings for vendors and will take registrations through Saturday morning. Interested parties can contact Foltz at 903-724-1419. To rent a table is $15, or two for $25.
A North Pole celebrity also will be present from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., because “we can't have a bazaar without Santa Claus,” Foltz said. Children can have their pictures taken with Santa for $5.
“That same day, there's also a chili benefit for a husband and wife that (are) members of the post,” Foltz said. Chili will be available for $3 a bowl, along with hotdogs, hamburgers and other food items. Donations also will be accepted.
