Lady Panthers finish non-district play with win (Girls basketball roundup)

KEMP — The Westwood Lady Panthers had four players score in double digits in a 52-35 win over Kemp to finish non-district.

Brittney Wilson had a double-double for Westwood with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Jazmine Hicks led Westwood in scoring with 14 points, Chasity Yarborough added 12 points and Raven Smith scored 10 points.

Westwood (9-11) hosts Brownboro Friday to start district play.



Oakwood 66, Leggett 43



OAKWOOD — Oakwood’s Taylor Tucker was one of four Lady Panther players to score in double digits in a 66-43 win over Leggett Tuesday night.

The Lady Panthers used a 26-11 first quarter to establish a lead.

Tucker led the way with 19 points, Angela Johnson had 14 points, Tori Tucker made a trio of three pointers for 13 points and Felecia Williams had 10 points.

Oakwood (20-2) hosts Wells Friday in district play.



Cayuga 41, Normangee 37



NORMANGEE — The Cayuga Ladycats finished non-district with a 41-37 win over Normangee Tuesday night.

Cayuga (12-5) opens district play at Hubbard Friday.

Lexus Mack and Chelsea Brown led the way for Cayuga Tuesday with 15 points each.
