Oakwood falls to Penelope
Staff Reports
OAKWOOD — The Oakwood Panthers season came to an end earlier than they would have hoped.
The Panthers (2-3, 6-4) lost to undefeated Penelope 52-6 in the third quarter as the game was called due to six-man football mercy rule.
Oakwood tied the game 6-6 in the first quarter on a 16-yard touchdown pass from James Edwards to Kealyne Durham.
But after that, it was all Penelope, who scored 26 points in the first quarter and 46 unanswered points after Oakwood’s score.
