Palestine’s Terry earns top H-P game ball

Playing his final game at Wildcat Stadium, Palestine quarterback Olin Terry earned the final Herald-Press game ball as he led the Wildcats to the playoffs.
Terry accounted for four touchdowns — two rushing and two passing — in Palestine’s 49-7 win over Westwood Friday night.
The Palestine quarterback was 7-of-10 passing for 94 yards. He threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Eric Robertson and a 4-yard touchdown pass to E.J. Spurlock.
Terry also rushed the ball 12 times for 99 yards and two touchdowns. He scored on runs of 7 and 34 yards.
Terrance Simon, Palestine: The Palestine running back led a three-headed rushing attack as the Wildcats picked up 329 yards on the ground against Westwood.
Simon carried the ball 13 times for 125 yards — an average of 9.6 yards a carry. He scored two touchdowns on runs of 5 and 63 yards.
DeCory Chivers, Palestine: The third part of the Palestine running game, Chivers went over 100 yards — all in the second half.
The Palestine running back had nine carries for 101 yards — averaging 11.2 yards per carry. He scored on touchdown on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Traylon Shead, Cayuga: The Wildcat running back rushed for three touchdowns in helping Cayuga capture the District 20-A title with a win over Grapeland Friday night.
Shead ran the ball 18 times for 158 yards — an average of 8.8 yards per carry. He scored three times on runs of 1, 2 and 27 yards.
Malcome Kennedy, Cayuga: The Cayuga quarterback scored two touchdowns and rushed for over 100 yards in the Wildcats’ win over Grapeland.
Kennedy had 20 rushes for 112 yards — averaging 5.6 yards per carry. Kennedy scored Cayuga’s first two touchdowns on runs of 1 and 14 yards.
Dedtrick Smith, Frankston: The Indian running back finished his season with a 100-yard game as the Indians defeated Elkhart 26-6 Friday night.
Smith carried the ball 16 times for 152 yards — averaging 9.5 yards per carry. Smith had a 30-yard touchdown run in the second half.
Smith also blocked an extra-point attempt and returned it the distance for two points.
Jabralon Allen, Frankston: Allen made key plays on offense and defense to help Frankston end the season with a win.
On offense, Allen had a 47-yard touchdown reception. On defense, Allen led the way with 19 tackles, including 12 solo and three for a loss. He has caused a fumble.
Braderick Fields, Frankston: The Indian defensive lineman made several big plays up front as the Indian defense held Elkhart to 99 yards.
Fields had nine tackles, including four for a loss. He also had a caused fumbled and got a sack.
