The Wildcats opened the scoring with a goal from Kaleb Garcia on a pass from Adrian Rodriguez, then Garcia found Alonzo Cruz for the second — and deciding — goal.
Garcia then found Marcelo Zavala for the team’s third, before Rodriguez got on the score-sheet with an unassisted goal to make it four for the Wildcats.
Cass French scored the fifth goal on a pass from Pablo Aguilar, while Luis Ferretiz scored the final goal.
Palestine will play Mexia at 6 p.m. Friday in Robinson.
The Palestine girls’ team playoff run won’t be continuing after the Ladycats fell to Bryan-Rudder, 4-1.
Palestine’s lone goal came from senior Xochitl Zavala, who scored on a penalty kick with just over five minutes left in the game.
PHS coach John Absalom did credit freshman goalkeeper Amber Gonzales for her solid play in a losing effort.
