H.S. Baseball: Palestine wins another game in seventh inning

CAYUGA 18, Trinidad 8

For four innings, it looked as if Trinidad was primed to give visiting Cayuga more than it bargained for Friday.

But, the Wildcats scored nine runs in the final two innings for an 18-8 victory in six innings.

Payton Wallace reached base five times and score four runs in the victory, while Vernon College-signee Chantz Holland had two hits and score three runs.

As a team, Cayuga swiped 13 bases in the victory, while Brayden Walthall got the victory on the mound in relief.

Cayuga (15-3, 8-1), which is currently trailing district-leading Kerens by one game, hosts Cross Roads at 5 p.m. today.
