H.S. Football: Thlang picks up Palestine's 3rd ULM offer

It took less than 24 hours for the University of Louisiana at Monroe to complete its own Palestine three-peat.

Less than a day after extending scholarship offers to Palestine juniors Jarrell Owens and Ben Luckett, the Warhawks extended an offer to junior offensive lineman Brian Thlang.

It’s the fourth offer this month dished out to a player in Anderson County from ULM. The Warhawks offered Elkhart junior running back Jeffrey Wilson earlier in the month.

Thlang was an all-state performer at left tackle for the Wildcats in 2012, helping anchor an offensive line that paved the way for more than 200 rushing yards per game for the Wildcats.

It’s his first official offer, although much like with Luckett he is drawing interest from schools like Texas State, Tulsa and North Texas.
