“We would have loved to have more success on the scoreboard, but we are making progress,” Brown said. “It takes time to change.”
CAYUGA — The Cayuga Wildcats look to further improve upon their record of 7-1 as they face the Gateway Charter Gators at home on Friday.
The Gators come into the match with a record of 1-8, and Cayuga is looking to dominate them as they did last year in the 54-28 victory.
The Wildcats have impressed this season with their running game, which has averaged around 300 yards per game.
With running back Keshawn Jackson providing the spark that the Cayuga Wildcats needed last week, he can be expected to play a similar role as the regular season wraps up on Friday.
OAKWOOD — The Panthers are streaking.
With the return of Damiyne Durham to the lineup, the Panthers have won four games in a row.
But this week, they run into a tough challenge against the Apple Springs Eagles.
The Eagles are 8-1 on the year and 3-0 in district play while the Panthers are 5-4 overall and 2-0 in district play.
Last season, Oakwood beat Apple Spring by a score of 76-28, and the Panthers are aiming for a repeat performance against the Eagles so they can better their record to 3-0 in district play and 6-4 on the year.
