H.S. Roundups: Wildcats, Lady Elks and Indians all fair well over the weekend in baseball and softball

Against Woden, Rucker again pitched with six strikeouts. Catie Bridges led the way for the Lady Elks batting 2-4 with two doubles and 3 RBIs.

 

FRANKSTON INDIANS

 

The Frankston Indians came into the weekend seeking a win and they got just that.

 

Frankston pitcher Jordan Thomas threw a no-hitter with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk, also batting 2-4 with 2 RBIs in the Indians' 5-0 win against Hawkins.

 

In a game that was scoreless until the third inning, Frankston came out in the third able to put up two runs to bring the score to 2-0.

 

In the fifth, Frankston was able to put up another two runs and bring the score to 4-0. Frankston’s TJ Brumley also had a strong performance, batting 2-3 with an RBI. Justice Bean for Frankston batted 2-4 and scored two runs.

 

The Indians were able to tack on one more run in the sixth to seal the 5-0 victory.
