Notable Individual Performers:
Tyler Barnard, of Palestine High School’s cross country team, finished unattached with a time of 16:47 in the boys 5K cross country run.
Palestine’s Mason Muñoz also ran in the event and finished three spots behind Barnard in seventh place with a time of 17:40.
Students from Elkhart High School also ran in this event, and the varsity girls had five runners place in the Top 25.
For Elkhart, Melanie Barnett finished sixth with a time of 13:42, Joli Ballew finished eighth with a time of 13:53, Anna Clark and Kayla Johnson finished in 15th and 16th placem respectivelym with times of 14:11 and 14:12; and Paige Huff finished in 23rd place with a time of 14:22. There were a total of 77 runners to participate in the varsity girls event.

The varsity girls at Elkhart placed second, the Elkhart Junior High girls and boys each placed third in their respective divisions. The Elkhart varsity boys’ squad finished in 11th place as a team.
