H.S. Volleyball: In Tuesday's action, Westwood cruises past Elkhart to stay undefeated in District

PALESTINE — PALESTINE — Westwood's Lady Panthers are now 10-0 in district after defeating the Lady Elks in three volleyball sets, 26-24, 25-16 and 25-8 on Tuesday.

For Westwood, Mikayla Benson had 10 kills and Diamond Dewberry had nine kills. Markeisha Durham and Natali Muniz had six kills each. Lacey Wooden had four aces and 14 digs. Neeli Hardison had 24 assists.

For Elkhart, Paige Huff had 21 assists. Robin Grant had seven kills and two blocks, Courtney Cheatham had four kills and two blocks, Ryan Grimsley had four kills, Megan Davis had four kills and Brooklyn Facklam had three kills.

Westwood will play Central Heights on Friday, while Elkhart will host Groveton at home on Saturday during its “Pink Out” game.
