Steve Hunt

A graveside service for Steve Hunt, 48, of Schulenberg, and formerly of Rockdale, were held Jan. 28, 2009 at Sandy Creek Cemetery near Rockdale with the Rev. Doug Springer of Rockdale Full Gospel Church officiating.

Mr. Hunt died Jan. 26 at Colonial Care Nursing Center in Schulenberg.

He was born March 17, 1960 in Houston to John Frederick Hunt and Katie V. Mize.

Mr. Hunt had been a resident of Schulenburg for the past three years and was a heavy equipment operator for 25 y ears.

He is survived by a son, Peyton Hunt of Palestine; mother and stepfather, Katie and Don Whiteley of the Sandy Creek community; father, John F. Hunt of Oakwood; daughter, Ceciley Jo Hunt of Oakwood; brothers, Johnny Whiteley of the Sandy Creek community, Christopher, Shawn and Troy Hunt; sister, Barbara Graham of Rockdale; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
