Jonnie Mae Smith

Funeral services for Jonnie Mae Smith, 87, of Red Oak will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Ray Parton II officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine

Mrs. Smith passed away Thursday in Red Oak. 

She was born Jan. 9, 1922 in Palestine to John and Bertha Dotson. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Wilson Smith; daughter, Nancy Pope; and daughter-in-law, Sammie Smith.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Braswell of Red Oak and Valora Jimenez and husband Leonard of Arlington; one son, Wilson D. Smith of Cleburne; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robin Lynn Pope, Leonard Jimenez, Alan Braswell, Michael Smith, Charles Conklin and Dustin Smith.
