Carlton J. Berryhill

Funeral services for Carlton Jackie Berryhill, 76, of Elkhart will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mr. Berryhill died Wednesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 2, 1933 in Anderson County to Bankhead and Ima Tilley Berryhill.

Mr. Berryhill had lived here most of his life and retired in 1993 from Justiss Oil after 25 plus years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois Herriage; brother-in-law, Bill Patrick; and daughter-in-law, Linda Riley.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Willie Mae “Bill” Berryhill of Elkhart; son, Robert Riley of Palestine; sisters, Earline Churchman and husband Tommie of Price, Pat Vance and husband Ted, Carol Sue Springer, and Joyce Patrick, all of Slocum; two grandchildren, John Riley and fiance Kathy of Liberty City and Kellie Riley Reeder and husband David of Elkhart.

Pallbearers will be Jacob McCann, Amanda Riley, Ted Vance, Fred Churchman, Scott Patrick, Troy Vaughn, Ashtan Riley and Samantha Riley. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Riley.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
