Services for Dorthy Lingo, 72, of Elkhart will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Bailey & Foster Chapel, Palestine with Rev. Butch Grant and Rev. M.T. Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
Mrs. Lingo died Sunday in the David E. Foster Hospice Unit. She was born June 13, 1935 in Elkhart to Charley and Elender Lawson Munsinger. She was a member of the Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church. She was a housewife.
Mrs. Lingo was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Billy Lingo. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Kay Meyer of Elkhart; three sons, Billy E. Lingo, Joe Edward Lingo and Robert Paul Lingo all of Elkhart; five sisters, Della Washington of Elkhart, Eva Staples of Tyler, Linda O'Neil of Arlington, Velma Berryhill of Elkhart and Eula Munsinger of Elkhart; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Parker, Jeff Washington, Jim Jay Staples, Gene Staples, Billy Joe Lingo and David Berryhill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gus Steven Meyer, Charlie Lingo, Chris Lingo, and Henry Meyer.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
