Memorial services for George N. Sadorf, 87, of Elkhart will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Zacharias Kunnakkattuthara officiating. Arrangements will be under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mr. Sadorf was born Jan. 17, 1921 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Nicholas and Barbara Furneiss Sadorf.
He died Tuesday at the David E. Foster Hospice Unit.
Mr. Sadorf was a Flight Officer in Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Loyal Order of Moose. He was a graduate of Dawson High School in Glendive, Mont. He was a retired accountant for Johns-Manville in Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Virginia Bernice Lewis Sadorf; brothers, John and Albert Sadorf; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Sadorf is survived by two daughters Paula McAughan and husband John of Palestine, and Barbara Hughes of Palestine, one daughter-in-law Julia Sadorf of Palestine, one son Eric Sadorf and wife Jennifer of North Carolina, one sister Betty Curtis of Pasco, Washington, seven grandchildren Dawn McAughan, David McAughan, Thomas Hughes, Marie Compton, Stephanie Watson, Jennifer Sadorf, Christopher Sadorf; three great grandchildren, Amanda Rambaran, Madeline McAughan and Lillian McAughan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Lynch, David Compton, Tommy B. Hughes, Tony E. Hughes and David McAughan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the David E. Foster Hospice Unit.
