Services for Tom White, 62, of Elkhart will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Chapel in Palestine with the Rev. Darryl Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mr. White died Wednesday at his residence.
He was born Dec. 26, 1945 in Hartsville, Ga. to Marvin M. and Theo Musselwhite White.
Mr. White was retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service, serving in Vietnam and Korea. He also was retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a correctional officer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. White is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sue White of Elkhart; four daughters, Melissa Missildine and husband Jim of Oakwood, Misti Uhl and husband Chad of Fresno, Calif., Lisa Warren and husband Woody of Elkhart and Shayne Toscano of Palestine; two sons, Thomas White and wife Alyson and Johnny Warren and wife Marisa, all of Houston; sisters, Ledeanne Cooper and Janice McDaniel; and a brother, Charles White, all of Fitzgerald, Ga.; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Warren, Woody Carlisle, Jim Missildine, Terry Walling, Christopher Walling and Jonathan Walling.
Condolence calls will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home in Palestine.
