David Thornton

Services for David Thornton, 38, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Steve Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Ferguson Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mr. Thornton died Thursday in Palestine.

He was born Feb. 21, 1971 in Jacksonville to David and Retha Parks Thornton.

Mr. Thornton was employed for Palestine Independent School District in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Bethesda Full Gospel Church.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Thornton of Palestine; parents, David and Retha Thornton; daughter, Jorja Smith; son, Thomas Smith; sister, Crystal Bailey; three brothers, Darrell Thornton, William Thornton and Danny Thornton.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
