— Bobbie Ruth Robertson, a longtime resident of Palestine, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2008 after suffering from a long illness. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at Bailey & Foster Chapel, Palestine with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
Mrs. Robertson was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Lone Pine Baptist Church and Holly Springs Baptist Church. Bobbie Ruth was born Sept. 10, 1928 to Clydia and Joe Bishop.
Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her mother, Clydia Bishop; her father, Joe Bishop; and a brother, Henry L. Bishop. She is survived by her loving husband, D.K. Robertson; brother, Robert Ludlow Bishop; sons, Larry Foster and David Robertson; a daughter, Yvonne R. Galloway; and adopted son, C.X. Rodriquez Jr. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Harris, Billy Hasel, Vic Smith, Brent Evans, Jason Huckaby and C.X. Rodriquez Jr. Alternate pallbearer will be Chance Wesson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Lone Pine VFD.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
