Coye Johnston Lackey

Coye Johnston Lackey, 81, of Kerrville, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at her residence. She was born June 9, 1927 in Anderson County, Texas to Samuel Wilburn Johnston and Flora (Goff) Johnston. On Oct. 31, 1947, she married Glen Lackey in Kerrville.

Coye was a homemaker and member of Sunrise Baptist Church.

Survivors include husband, Glen Lackey; and sister, Joyce DeFoor, both of Kerrville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by the Rev. Dale Durham. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Strong Memorial Cemetery in Slocum, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peterson Hospice or a charity of one’s choice.
