Shirley (ChaCha) James
The Palestine Herald
Shirley (ChaCha) James was called home by the Lord on April 14th, 2009. She joined her parents Don and Linda Anderson in Heaven. Shirley was born on March 16th, 1957 in Palestine, Texas and lived here most of her life. Shirley was called to go home about three years ago, but in her usual fashion decided to stay around to take care of some unfinished business. Her first priority was to spend as much time with her children, Jennifer Henson and Jesse James, as well as her two precious grandbabies, Zachary and Sara Beth. She was the best Nanny a grandchild could ask for. She also had a son-in-law Michael Henson who she loved as her own. She made sure everyone knew how much she loved them and how very proud she was of them all. In addition she wanted to make sure her sisters, Deb and Jan and her Bubba knew she was still around and still in charge. Shirley was carefree and a wonderful person to be around. She was counted out several times in the past but like she said she rose from the ashes like a Phoenix to be with us and give us as much grief as she could and believe us she did! The one thing we will miss the most is the joking and kidding around we all did. We all loved the time we spent with her and there is not a day that will go by that we won’t think of her and miss her smiling face. Other family member who will be missing her include Missy, Coby, Natalie, Jaime, Tootie, James and Bobby. Please join us in celebrating her life and remembering her on Friday April 17th, 2009 from 1 to 3 p.m. at 403 Trimble in Palestine, Texas. Bring your good memories to share as we will be sharing ours. That is what she would have wanted. We love you Mom!!!!
Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
