Services for Cody Christopher Overstreet will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Community Full Gospel Church in Slocum with pastors Ray and Alita Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Muse Cemetery.
Cody went to meet the Lord Saturday, April 12 at ETMC in Crockett
Cody was born Nov. 18, 1990 in Palestine and soon moved to Grapeland where he grew up. He attended Slocum High School, where he was soon to graduate.
Cody was survived by his mother Lorrie Overstreet of Grapeland; father Darsey Benton of Slocum; sister Kimberly Overstreet of Grapeland; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Stacy Overstreet; grandparents Tom and Mary Larkin of Grapeland; uncles Larry Larkin of Grapeland, Donnie Larkin of Slocum, Eddie Larkin of San Antonio and Tony Overstreet of Crockett; aunt Maggie Perez of Houston; and other siblings in the Slocum area.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Grapeland.
Cody Overstreet will be missed greatly by family, friends and his many peers.
