— Services for Evelyn Burr Johnson, 61, of Dallas, and formerly of Palestine will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bon Air Baptist Church, 5705 Bonnie View Rd., Dallas. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery under the direction of Golden Gate Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson died April 16 in a Dallas hospital. She was a 1964 graduate of A.M. Story High School.
She is survived by her parents, Geneva and Eleword Clewis of Palestine and the Rev. Allen Burr of Waco; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and the Rev. Roy G. Duncan of Palestine; brother, Charles Clewis of Palestine; and aunt, Betty Benton of Palestine.
A wake service will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Gate Funeral Home, 2349 Cedar Crest Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75203. Phone, 214-941-7332.
