Funeral services for Marvin Bohanan, 88, of Palestine will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with B.F. Baur officiating. Burial will follow in Muse Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
Mr. Bohanan passed away Tuesday in the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 15, 1920 in Georgetown, to Ossie Jay and Ida Ischey Bohanan.
Mr. Bohanan was a retired electrician with South Texas Nuclear Power Plant. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Crockett Road Church of Christ.
Mr. Bohanan was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Daisey Gilmore Bohanan; three sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by one daughter, Jean Husband of Rusk; one son, Gary Bohanan and wife Gale of Palestine; one brother, Thomas Bohanan of Weir; and seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mark Waldrum, Jason Husband, Dale Sparks, J.B. Matlock, Fred Freeman and Adam Bohanan. Honorary pallbearer will be Owen Perry.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
