Services for Kurt Burnett, 30, of Oakwood will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Kurt died Thursday at his residence. He was born Dec. 19, 1978 in Palestine to Jerry Robert Burnett and Marilyn Cowan. He was a lover of the outdoors. Kurt was an avid fisherman, hunter and was the smiling face of the four wheeler in Oakwood, offering a helping hand to all that needed him.

He is survived by his parents; grandmother, Lois Cowan of Athens; a sister, Tammy Combs of Hallsville; a brother, David Burnett of Virginia; and extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Condolence calls will be received from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday before the service at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
