Doris L. Glenn
Services for Doris L. Glenn, 86, of Palestine were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Linda Herron officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Mesquite under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.
Mrs. Glenn died Friday afternoon in Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 27, 1922 in Cromwell, Ky. to John M. and Elizabeth Grant Leach. She had lived in Palestine the past 25 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Garden Club.
Mrs. Glenn was a charter member of the Houston Quilt Show and she owned and operated a successful Antique Estate Sale business in Dallas, Mesquite and Palestine for over 40 years.
Mrs. Glenn was preceded in death by husbands, Walter Doolin and Eugene Stober; son, John Grant Stober; and daughter, Nancy C. Vineyard.
She is survived by husband, Daniel L. Glenn of Palestine; sons, Floyd and wife Annette Stober of Palestine, Jerry and wife P.J. Stober of Pittsburgh, Penn., Allan and wife Sally Stober of Wausau, Wisc., Daniel and wife Janice Stober of Weatherford, and Bill Stober of Fort Worth; stepsons, Dan and wife Connie Glenn of Palestine, Randy and wife Paula Glenn of Palestine, and Jeffrey Glenn; son-in-law, Ronnie Vineyard of Ovilla; close friends, Marcella and husband Larry Rutherford and Opal Eubanks, all of Palestine; 28 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
