Kent David Fitzpatrick, age 50, left the ones he loved for a much better life than the one here on earth on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 after a tragic motorcycle accident to be with God who he knew and loved.
Kent was born in Palestine on Nov. 27, 1958. He resided in Cayuga. Kent was an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish and camp. He was a mechanic and a jack of all trades. He had a deep compassion for others.
He is survived by a minor son, Mason Fitzpatrick; and two adult daughters, Larid Steele and Melissa Crozier; four grandchildren; his parents, Kenneth and Mary Ann Fitzpatrick; brother, Kelly Fitzpatrick and sister-in-law LaRue Fitzpatrick; sister, Kathy Jean and brother-in-law Ronnie Jean; brother, Ken Dell Fitzpatrick and special friend Lisa Fitzpatrick; brother, Kraig Fitzpatrick and special friend Selena Poor; aunt and uncle, Betty and Wayland Kelley; nieces, Jennifer Fitzpatrick and Summer Fitzpatrick; nephews, Clinton Felts, John Jean and Dwight Fitzpatrick; and his stepgrandmother, Bonnie Carpenter. He is also survived by numerous cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Teri Fitzpatrick; his grandparents, Gussie and Edgar Seat, Lester and Lillie Tinnin; his uncle, Larry Tinnin; and aunts, Louise and Claudine Tinnin; great-aunts and uncles, Inez and Cecil Smith, Billie and Cecil Cooper; and great-grandfather and grandmother, Henry and Octavia Bryant.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009 at Judson Cemetery (Anderson County Road 476) in Cayuga under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Officiating the service will be Chaplain Mark Broberg of Richardson.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Fitzpatrick, Ken Dell Fitzpatrick, Kraig Fitzpatrick, Clinton Felts, Dwight Fitzpatrick and Cody Fitzpatrick.
Kent will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
