James Wesley Hodo

Services for James Wesley Hodo, 85, of Tyler, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Bullard City Cemetery in Bullard under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Hodo passed Sunday at the Sterling House in Tyler.
He was born Dec. 30, 1923 in Cleburne, Texas to Clarence A. and Clara Lane Hodo.
Mr. Hodo was a deacon at Sharon Baptist Church and was a World War II Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vernon Hodo; and granddaughter, Dana Hobbs.
Mr. Hodo is survived by his loving family including, son Ken Hodo and wife Barbara of Tyler; daughters, Ruby Whitehead and husband Neal of Tyler, and Joyce Skillern and husband Ted of Latexo; grandchildren, Randall Hodo and wife Christie of Waxahachie, Sandra Henderson and husband Davis of Hillsboro, Damon Hobbs and wife Meridith of Gallatin, Tenn., Tonya Conn and husband Roy of Latexo, Chris Burris and wife Rene’ of Elkhart, and John Quattlebaum of Tyler; siblings, Lonita Vest of Sherman, Frances Vest of Ravenna, and Dorothy Russell and husband Bob of California.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, Texas 75703.
