Louise Smith Canaday

Graveside services for Louise Smith Canaday, 79, of Elkhart will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dailey Cemetery with David Bradley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel Grapeland.

Mrs. Canaday died Tuesday in Elkhart Oaks Care Center.

She was born June 14, 1929 in Grapeland to Christopher Columbus and Kleber Beazley Smith. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Canaday was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Canaday; daughter, Carol Wade; sons, Kleber and Olan Wade, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by three sons Ralph Canaday and wife Debra of Elkhart, Dean Wade and Kenny Wade of Houston, brother Chris Smith Jr. of New Braunfels and 10 grandchildren.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel Grapeland.
