Services for Cecil S. Ray, 86, of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Stephen Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
Mr. Ray died Monday at Palestine Health Care.
He was born Nov. 5, 1921 in Anderson County to Sylvester Franklin and Ruby Tillie Mallard Ray.
Mr. Ray was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. He was an employee of Hughes Tool Company for 45 years where he worked as a gauge inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Winona Huddleston.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Helen Ray of Palestine; two stepdaughters, Beleta Robbins of Palestine and Jeanette Maxwell of Fort Worth; brother, James Mallard Ray of Palestine; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Scott, Mike Scott, Tom Lowry, Jerry Bennett, Larry Bennett and Benny Middleton.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
