Funeral services for Joyce Green, 74, of Palestine, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Evangelistic Temple with the Rev. Andy Brink officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Green died Friday at her residence.
She was born Feb. 17, 1934 in Cleveland, Tenn. to Carl and Grace Sample.
Mrs. Green was a minister and president of Be Fruitful and Multiply Ministry for 21 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton Green; sisters, Nelle Sample and Eva Haney; brothers, Wayne Sample, Bobby Sample, Edward Sample, triplets Roy, Lynn and Ray Sample; and a nephew, Dennis Haney.
Mrs. Green is survived by her daughter, Kathy Green of Nashville, Tenn.; three sons, Larry Green of Bellingham, Wash., Craig Green of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Toby Green of California; one sister, Mildred Ware of Decavtur, Tenn.; grandsons, Zeb Green, Bryan Green, Sean Green and Isaac Green; granddaughters, Michaela, Traci and Briana.
Pallbearers will be David Devereaux, Ronnie Greenwood, Eddie Sullivan, Ronnie Harris, Willis Alred and John Miles.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
