The family returned to her mother’s native Texas before Wanda was 2 years old. She grew up in Manor, where she attended school from kindergarten through her high school years. Rupkey of Austin; son, Thomas Wayne Rupkey and wife Tiffany of Round Rock; mother, Winnie Jackson of Austin; sister, Debi and husband Robert Drosche of Manor; brother, T.C. Hendrix and wife Karen of Palestine; brother, Charles Hendrix of Manor; five nieces, one nephew, one great-niece, six great-nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, both in Texas and North Carolina, and countless loving friends.
