Robert (Bob) L. Finley

Robert (Bob) L. Finley, 87, of Palestine, World War II veteran, died at the Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas on Sept. 12, 2009.

Mr. Finley was employed by Union Pacific Railroad, formerly Missouri Pacific Railroad, for over 30 years.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at Mount Vernon AME Church in Palestine. The Rev. Teresa Hamilton will be officiating. A wake will be held at Emanuel Funeral Home’s Gen. George Brown Chapel in Palestine on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Surviving children are: Robert A. Finley, of Houston, Donald M. Finley of Humble and Lillie F. Robinson of Sugar Land.
