John Graham

Graveside services for John Paul Graham, 71, of Palestine were at 4 p.m. today at Palestine City Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mr. Graham passed away Wednesday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

He was born Sept. 4, 1938, in Breckenridge, to the late John and Louise Dena Clark O’Dell.

Mr. Graham was retired from the Rusk State Hospital. He had served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by a son, James N. Graham, in January 2004.

Mr. Graham is survived by his wife of 48 years, Venita Wanda Graham; two sons, John Rodrick Graham and wife Crystal and Alan Clint Graham and wife Dawn; daughter, April Louise Majors and husband Mark, all of Palestine; and numerous grandchildren.
