C.P. Ray

“CP” Ray was born on the 11th day of September 1927 to James Coleman and Lottie May Stuart Ray, and was called to the Lord on the 21st day of September 2009. He was 82 years old. He resided in Denson Springs, Texas.
He served his country in World War II. He was a building contractor and passed his vast knowledge on to others, making him a corner stone in the local building industry. He loved his family and will always be a hero in their hearts and minds. He was a great friend to all who knew him and was always there with a helping hand. The hobbies he enjoyed were his cutting horses and his gardens.
Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, James Coleman Ray and Lottie May Ray; brothers, Norman Ray and Arnold Ray. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Joyce Ray; daughters, Nila Missildine and Renda Ultsch and her husband Rick Ultsch; son, Steve Ray and wife Tonya Ray. He had 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Doll Ray and Joyce Ray.
Services will be held on 25th day of September at 1 p.m. at Bailey & Foster, with Bro. Davey Rase Hobson and Bro. Donald Wayne Moore officiating, followed by graveside service at Muse Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ben Missildine, Chris Ultsch, Mat Ultsch, Keith Burris, close friends, Malon Reed and Curtis Fergusons. Honorary pallbearers will be James F. Ray, Johnny Foster, Pack Watkins, Bill Jones and Jimmy Douglas.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Chapel Palestine.
