Frances A. Herrington
Frances Adelynn Hambrick Herrington was born on June 27, 1926, in Lone Oak, Texas. She was called home on September 24, 2009, in Palestine, Texas. She was 83 years old.
Frances graduated from Lone Oak High School in 1943 and East Texas State Teachers College in 1946. She married Robert F. Herrington in Hunt County in 1947. She lived and worked all over Texas but her favorite job was with Anderson County Memorial Hospital. She attended Memorial Christian Church and was a great friend and comforter to many. Among her many loves were hunting, reading and dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Herrington Jr.; sisters-in-law, Jane Ham and Darlen Cumby; her parents, John James Hambrick and Irene Elliot Hambrick; and brother, Monte Leighton Hambrick.
She is survived by her nieces, Caroline Hicks and Donna Ganster; nephews, John James Hambrick II, Judd Frank Hambrick, Michael Keith Hambrick and Charles Woodson Ham II; brothers-in-law, Charles H. Ham and John H. Cumby.
Services will be held Friday, September 25, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Holly Springs Church in Montalba with Robley Soileau officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hicks, Allen Ganster, Jeremy Teel, Johnny Cox, Carl Vaughn and Tommy Crum.
