JoAnn Leutwyler
A private graveside service for JoAnn Leutwyer, 61, of Buffalo, was held at 11 a.m. Sept. 23, 2009 at Brushy Cemetery near Buffalo. JoAnn was born Feb. 9, 1948, in Tampa, Fla. to Leonard and Josephine Hull.
Our sister and mother, JoAnn Leutwyler who loved her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ went to be with Him on Sept. 18, 2009. She will be greatly missed. There were so many of the people of Buffalo she had grown to love and faithfully prayed for. She crocheted, and she loved to give and help people. Her neighbors said that she was a “good neighbor.” The poem “Homesick for Heaven” written by Margaret Horst was sent to her recently, and she rejoiced so much in it. The first verse says, “Beyond the distant sunset, Beyond the skies of blue, A City now waiting, Prepared for me to view,” etc. The rest of the poem tells how beautiful Heaven really is.
JoAnn Leutwyler is survived by her daughter, Melinda Leutwyler of Buffalo; sister, Patty South of Houston; and many other relatives and friends.
Walters Buffalo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
