Jack D. Mullican





Funeral services for Jack D. Mullican, 83, of Frankston will be at 3 p.m. today at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with the Rev. Larry Bewley officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Oaks Memorial Park in Berryville.

Mr. Mullican passed away Thursday in Tyler.

He was born Dec. 31, 1925 in Bristol to John Layfette Mullican and Dovie Mae Fowler Mullican.

He was a Baptist and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Waco, Blue Lodge and Shriners. He was a forklift driver at Trane and former circulation manager at the Palestine Herald-Press.

Mr. Mullican was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Mullican; and sister, Marie Rhodes.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sallie Mullican of Frankston; son, Michael D. Mullican and wife Norma of Montalba; daughters, Jackie Waldon and husband Jerry of Montalba, Patricia Giglotto of Bellville, Ill. and Debra Jo Crow of Willis; brother, Sammy Mullican and wife Maxine of Palestine; special friend, Jody of Frankston; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
