Dorothy Gentry

Services for Dorothy Gentry, 83, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Elkhart with the Rev. Bill Germenz officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Elkhart under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gentry died Saturday night at the Cartmell Home for Aged.

She was born July 4, 1925 at Palestine to R.C. Griffith and Maggie Lou Laney Griffith.

Mrs. Gentry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elkhart. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Gentry who died in 1989; two brothers, Earl Griffith and Albert Griffith; and four sisters, Mildred Boyer, Hazel Hamby, Christine Dancer and Faye Honeycutt.

She is survived by a daughter, Kim Rinderknecht of Taylor; two sons, Darrell Gentry of Austin and Michael Gentry of Austin; and three grandchildren, Kristen Rinderknecht, Kenzie Rinderknecht and Eddie Gentry.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Dancer, David Tidwell, Kenneth Honeycutt, Gilbert Griffith, Jeff Kinderknecht and Ricky Rinderknecht.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
