W.A. “Bill” Jarrett



Services for William Allen Jarrett, 83, of Houston will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Herrington / Land of Memory Chapel with the Rev. Sonny Guess officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine City Cemetery under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mr. Jarrett died Thursday at Spring Branch Medical Center in Houston.

He was born in Tawkawa, Okla. on Dec. 5, 1925 to Henry and Ossye Keese Jarrett. 

Mr. Jarrett owned and operated a mechanic shop in Corpus Christi for many years. He was a Baptist and a thirty-two degree Mason for many years.     

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise; and brother, Jim Jarrett.

Mr. Jarrett is survived by sons: Robert and wife Donna K. of Victoria and Don and wife Martha of Mineola; daughters, Dorothy and husband Rob of Houston and Linda and husband Gary Jostes of Mathis. He also is survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Travis Terry, Craig Terry, Brian Jarrett, Wade Nicholds, Robert Jarrett and Don Jarrett.

Condolences will be received from noon until 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
