Lisa Ann Frisby

Funeral services for Lisa Ann Frisby, 42, of Grapeland, will be at 2 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Chapel, Grapeland with J.C Tate and Craig Wortham officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Ms. Frisby passed away Thursday in Conroe.

She was born and raised in Grapeland by her parents, Lavon Matrick and Eula Lea Rodgers Frisby.

Ms. Frisby attended school in Grapeland. She spent her young married life in Montalba with then husband, Troy Whitfield Jr., who is now deceased. She was a devoted mother to Troy Whitfield III and Taylor Lavon Whitfield and stepmother to Eric and Misty Bowden. Lisa took pride in assisting in the family business, Frisby Trucking Company.

Ms. Frisby was preceded in death by her father, Lavon Frisby of Grapeland; and husband, Troy Whitfield Jr. of Palestine.

She is survived by her mother, Eula Frisby of Grapeland; daughter, Taylor Lavon Whitfield of Grapeland; son, Troy Whitfield III of Grapeland; brother, Kevin Frisby and wife Elizabeth of Bullard; sisters, Tony Frisby-McQueen and husband Glenn of Grapeland and Sonja Frisby-Corcoran and husband Anthony of New Waverly; four nephews, four nieces, two great-nephews and three great-nieces.

The family would like to thank the countless doctors, nurses and health care providers who helped her fight the battle that she fought the past five years. You are considered our extended family. God bless you all.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to the Taylor Whitfield College Fund at Grapeland State Bank.
