Mary Anne Mason

Funeral services for Mary Anne Mason, 72, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev Bruce Hay officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Mason passed away Thursday at her residence.

She was born July 2, 1937 in Fastrill, Texas, to James Authur and Cora Gilbert Wallace. She was a retired commissary manager for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Michael Unit.

Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Melvin Mason of Palestine; sons, Bobby Mason and very special friend Inez Baker and Bill Mason and wife Cindy; and seven grandchildren.
