Myra Smith Palmer

Funeral services for Myra Smith Palmer, 92, of Lindale will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors of Lindale.
Mrs. Palmer passed away Thursday in Tyler.
She was born Nov. 15, 1916 in Garden Valley to Austin Asberry and Vicy Lorraine (Getty) Smith.
Mrs. Palmer lived in Desoto for over 25 years before moving back to the Lindale area in 1999. She drove a Dallas city bus during World War II during the day and attended cosmetology school at night. After completing cosmetology school, she owned and operated several beauty salons in the Dallas area.
Mrs. Palmer is survived by her children, Wanda Jean Garner and husband Jerry of Lindale, James Harold Palmer of Cayuga, Anita Louise Hagin and husband J.C. of Tennessee Colony; brothers, Lawson Smith and A.A. Smith Jr., both of Lindale; sister, Myrl Jones of Tyler; grandchildren, Brenda Booker and Laura Reeves, both of Lindale, Sherry Boles of Linden, Kellie Green of Palestine, Kyle Palmer of McKinney, Keith Palmer of Athens, Michael Hernandez of Arlington, Casey Hernandez of Midlothian, Teddy Hernandez of Red Oak, Timothy Hernandez of Dallas, Ryan Hernandez of Euless, Gregory Hernandez of Corsicana; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hernandez, Casey Hernandez, Teddy Hernandez, Timothy Hernandez, Ryan Hernandez and Gregory Hernandez.
