Robert (Bob) Parker, Jr.

Robert (Bob) Lee Parker Jr., 61, of Palestine, Texas died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009.

Bob was born to the late Robert Lee Sr. and Louise Parker, June 15, 1948, at Farmerville, Louisiana. Bob graduated from Sam Rayburn High School, Pasadena, Texas in 1967. He served in the U.S. Navy where he was honorably discharged in 1973. At the time of his passing, Bob was working as a supervisor for Commercial Contractors of Grand Haven, Mich.

Bob is survived by Anita Asper his lifetime partner and his four children: Lonnie Lavoice Parker of Anna, Texas, Julie Marie Theiss of Dallas, Texas, Karen Lynn Rubeck of Dennison, Texas, and Eric Paul Parker of Caddo, Okla.; along with his seven grandchildren.

He also is survived by one brother, Stephen Allen Parker of Palestine, Texas; one sister, Catherine Louise Beach and husband Euel Gene Beach of Calico Rock, Ark., and brother-in-law, Landis E. Medlin of Longview, Texas.

Bob was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Keith Parker; and one sister, Carol Ann Medlin.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 200 at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel.
