Lindsey LeMon

Funeral services for Lindsey Marie LeMon, 16, of Tennessee Colony will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cayuga High School with John Wisener officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Lindsey died Tuesday from injuries received in an automobile accident.

She was born Dec. 20, 1993, in Palestine to Maurice R. LeMon Jr. and Lisa Deel LeMon. 

Lindsey was a sophomore student at Cayuga High School. She was involved in multiple extracurricular activities such as varsity cheerleading, volleyball, one-act play, National Honor Society, Model UN, and manager of the varsity girls’ basketball team. She loved supporting all sports at Cayuga High School. She enjoyed hunting and fishing every chance she could. Lindsey was a member of Tennessee Colony Church where she was very involved with the church youth group. She was going to be a counselor for Pine Springs Baptist Camp this summer.

Lindsey was preceded in death by her grandmother, Betty Allen, and some of her great-grandparents. 

She is survived by her parents, Maurice and Lisa LeMon of Tennessee Colony; two brothers, Trey LeMon of Huntsville and James Michael LeMon of Tennessee Colony; grandparents, Charles and Jan Carr, James and Kelly Deel, David Allen, and Maurice LeMon Sr.; and numerous cousins.

Pallbearers will be Trey LeMon, James Michael LeMon, Charlie Carr, Kevin Pennick, John Herndon, Jon Carr, Brett Carroll and Robert Britton. Honorary pallbearers will be Cayuga High School Varsity Cheerleaders.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
