Services for Willa Dene Sloan Tomlin, 80, of Elkhart, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. David Franklin and Rev. Joe Paul Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Tomlin died Saturday in Van Alystyne in the presence of her loving family. She was born April 27, 1932 in Anderson County to Edward and Lilly Camp Sloan. Mrs. Tomlin was retired from AT&T as a telephone operator. She was a member of the First Congregational Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a delightful friend to all that knew her.
Mrs. Tomlin was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Willie Sloan and Etheridge Sloan. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lynn Tomlin of Elkhart, a son Gregory Lynn Tomlin and wife Rhonda of Van Alstyne, seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Adam, Michael, Rachel, Rebbecca, and Chandler, three great grandchildren, Derrick, Cali, and Lexi.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Halladay, Eddie Halladay, Steve Webb, Adam Fox, Mike Starr, Mike Hamby and Allen Baker.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
