Mable Louise Walling

Services for Mable Louise Walling, 82, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m.. Friday,April 4, 2014 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Ron Sloan officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Walling died Monday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 7, 1931 in Navarro Mills County to James Henry Congleton and Mertie Bell Berryhill Congleton.

She was retired and had worked for Cayuga Independent School District as a cook for many years. She was a member of the Lone Pine Baptist Church.

Mrs. Walling was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Munsinger; four brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Cecil Walling of Palestine; a son, Terry Walling and wife Tina of Palestine; five daughters, Barbara Salmon and husband Steve of Palestine, Carolyn Robertson and husband David of Montalba, Janet Taylor and husband George of Cayuga, Mary Walling of Euless, and Diane Mitchell and husband Mike of Athens; 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tony Marshall, Randy Bostic, Chance Wesson, Jason Huckaby, Jonathan Walling and Christopher Walling. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Dowling, James Motl, Brent Evans, Harold Phillips, Kevin Holifield, Chris Frizell and Bradley Walling.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
