Services for Wanda Lee Puzey, 71, of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Palestine Church with the Rev. Danny Rodriquez and Jerome Tang officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Puzey died Tuesday at her temporary residence in Lowell, Ohio.
She was born June 26, 1942 in Houston to Lavalle and Florence Mary Jones Bierman.
Mrs. Puzey was a cake decorator and homemaker. She decorated cakes for Kroger for many years. She was a former member of the Palestine Church. She taught and coordinated Missionettes for 35 years. She had a great love and passion for the girls she taught. Later in life she joined the Red Hat Society. She was a member of the Montalba M&M’s – Marvelous and Magnificent.
Mrs. Puzey was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Britt Puzey of Palestine, but working in Lowell, Ohio; daughter, Shanna Crawford and husband George of Palestine; son, Darren Brittain and wife Kristen of Weston, Fla.; a sister, Linda Brown and husband Gilbert of Anacoca, La.; two grandchildren, Alexanne Brittain and Allison Brittain.
Pallbearers will be Steven Petno, Stephen Brown, Michael Brown, Nathaniel Brown, Johnie Adams and Antonio Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be George Crawford, Wayne Turbyfill, Faith Rodriguez and Katy Hamilton.
