Services for Lucille Herrington Wade Cooper, 95, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Brushy Creek.
Lucille passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014, in Pasadena, Texas.
She was born April 26, 1919, in Brushy Creek, Texas to Bert and Emma Lade Herrington.
Lucille was a hairdresser in Palestine for most of her adult life and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even great great-grandmother. She was always dedicated to her family and eventually moved to Pasadena to be closer to them.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianne Wade Young; brothers, Jack Clifford and Homer Herrington; and her husband, Edward Cooper.
Lucille is survived by her daughters, Barbara Wade of Houston and Carol Bishop of Pasadena.
She also is survived by her granddaughter, Dawn Young Edwards of Rockport; grandson, Robert Bishop of Katy; great-grandchildren, Coty Edwards, Sierra Edwards Morrison, Jarrod Smith, all of Rockport and Irene and Mary Bishop of Jackson, Mississippi; great great-grandson, Odin Morrison; brother and sister-in-law, John and Colleen Herrington; and son-in-law, James Young.
Pallbearers will be Robert Bishop, Coty Edwards, Jarrod Smith and James Young.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
